Senior Software Engineer/Architect Content Management (Java or .Net)

XeniT is seeking passionate, team-oriented and self-motivated software engineers and a chief architect. After Alfresco training and certification, you will participate in the design and development of our innovative smart document solution on top of Alfresco, the leading Open Source ECM platform. Alternately, you will implement state-of-the-art document and content solutions for our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement our leading edge smart document solution (Alfresco and XML based)
  • Implement customer projects on the basis of Alfresco:
    • Gather application requirements from users
    • create preliminary design concepts and draft technical design documents, in close collaboration with the client.
    • Implement enterprise content solutions
    • Provide superior technical service to our clients.
  • Maintain solutions you implemented: new feature requests and fix critical bugs.
  • Coach your colleagues, review their work, improve constantly our working practices

Profile

  • You have a degree in computer sciences (bachelor or master) or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in document or content management (Open Source or Commercial)
  • You like working in small teams, but are able to work on your own
  • Strong problem solving aptitude, attention to detail, conceptual thinker
  • Good oral and written communication skills: Dutch or French native speaker, with a good level in English.
  • As a bonus: Passive knowledge of our second National language (French or Dutch).

Technical Requirements

  • 5 years experience with Java or .Net
  • Working knowledge of Object Oriented Design (UML 2.0)
  • Familiar with XML technologies (XSD, XSLT, …) 
  • (java engineer) Exposure to development frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF
  • As a bonus; experience with
    • one or more enterprise content management projects or platforms
      (Alfresco, plone, zope, OpenCMS, Sharepoint, Documentum, Livelink, Stellent, ...),
    • search technology (Lucene, commercial)
